My name is Jeremy Meschino, and I am the Owner and Physical Therapist here at MovementPRO PT. Our mission is to change the standard of Physical Therapy from boring, cookie-cutter, passive treatments that don't yield results, to Physical Therapy 2.0. A standard of care that is innovative, personalized, and designed to not only get you results, but build you back stronger than before! A lot of the patients seen here have been recommended pain meds, injections, unnecessary surgeries, or told to stop doing (insert your favorite activity). Frankly, that is a lazy treatment approach that will never get you back to living the active life you desire. Our philosophy is "Movement is Medicine" and "Stronger people are harder to kill". Your rehab will not be easy, but we guarantee you will leave feeling stronger and empowered to get back to achieving your goals. Want to learn more? Book a discovery call today!

Here's what we found interesting this week...

Are you a victim of under-training?
In the world of sports and strength training, there is much talk about Over Training, the signs and symptoms, and risks. While this is a valid and important topic, we hear far too little about Under Training, which may be the reason you are not achieving your goals in the gym or rehab setting. KNOW THE SIGNS

Running Injury Prevention

Nice blog from BJSM

Trial comparing 3 groups of runners. Group 1 received hip and core strengthening, Group 2 received ankle and foot strengthening, and Group 3 (control) received static stretching.

"Our study found that the group focusing on hip and core training sustained less running-related lower extremity injuries than the control group performing static stretching." Take home message: Runners, don't forget to train those hips and core! Check out the link for more details on this study.
